Research topics at LNCMI
- Optical and electrical properties of semiconducting nanostructures
- van der Waals materials (graphene, 2D semiconductors, van der Waals magnets)
- Experiments in extreme environments of low temperature, high hydrostatic pressure and of high magnetic fields
I am in charge of the optical spectroscopy activities in the visible and NIR range of energy. The group is supporting external users for photoluminescence, reflectivity/transmission, Raman scattering, and developing new experimental set-ups to investigate electronic and optical properties of emerging materials.
Our in-house activities include low dimensional semiconductors/heterostructures and van der Waals materials, with a focus in the last years on van der Waals materials with magnetic properties. We are particularly interested in the effects of interactions among elementary excitations (magnons, phonons, electronic excitations).
