M1 & M2 internships

Carrying out a carbon assessment and mobilizing around climate issues at LNCMI (Grenoble)
( M1 level )

The course will have 4 main objectives:
1. Using the Labos 1point5 tool, calculate the greenhouse gas emissions associated with activities in 2025 (purchases, missions, consumption of energy fluids (electricity, helium, etc.).
2. Analyze the year’s balance sheet and emissions trends since 2019 (trends, determining factors, medium-term projections)
3. Study the knowledge and perceptions of socio-environmental issues by laboratory staff.
This will be done through surveys and/or interviews and/or participatory workshops, and the results may be compared with the national survey by Blanchard et al. 2024.

Why do interacting Weyl electrons from a wave ?

This Master project investigates a topological material whose Weyl electrons have potential for future electronics and renewable energies. The internship takes place in the nuclear magnetic resonance group which studies strongly correlated materials using the same technique as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Pressure-induced magnetic ground states in a frustrated van der Waals magnet

The Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intense de Grenoble is a CNRS large scale facility specialized in the production of high magnetic fields, up to 43T. The Visible Optics team is investigating the properties of van der Waals materials by optical means since their discovery in 2005. We have developed a specific instrumentation for spatially resolved optical spectroscopy of different type (photoluminescence, reflectance, Raman scattering) in extreme conditions of low temperature, high magnetic field and of high hydrostatic pressure, necessary to investigate the properties of these layered materials.

Toulouse

Internship applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis in Toulouse. You can submit your application at any time, and the manager will get back to you.

We don’t offer any internships in 3ème.

We are offering 4 places for the second-year course from 22 to June 26, 2026.
