Mecanical design and fabrication

As an assistant mechanical engineer, I am responsible for managing manufacturing requests from the laboratory research teams and the magnet team. My experience covers the use of conventional and CNC machine tools, including milling, turning, quality control, CAD design (Catia), CAM programming (with Heidenhain post-processor), assembly, soldering, welding and system testing.

In this context, I work closely with the various departments involved in carrying out the projects assigned to me, including workshop managers, the design office, researchers, subcontractors and dedicated machine center managers. These exchanges enable us to pool information, clarify specifications and define rigorous specifications.

I have designed and manufactured various devices for experiments under intense magnetic fields, including measuring rods, rotating/conical sample holders, pinions, screws, cable glands, mounting brackets, current leads, flanges, and other miscellaneous mechanical parts.
