LNCMI hybrid magnet reaches 42 Tesla
The hybrid magnet at the LNCMI in Grenoble is now reaching 42 T. This level of magnetic field has been achieved for the first time in Europe by combining a superconducting coil and copper-alloy electromagnets. In a few months’ time, this magnet will be made available to scientists at the European Magnetic Field Laboratory.
