Access to the site
Access to the LNCMI is possible on working days (Monday to Friday) between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. An automatic gate controls access outside this period. The gate can be opened using a personal badge provided to the visitor upon his arrival.
Access to the high field installations
The high magnetic field installations of the LNCMI-G are accessible 7/7.
The resistive magnets are typically scheduled in 2 user slots per day. We are doing our best to fit the slots as well as possible to the needs of all experiments.
The superconducting magnets are scheduled in agreement with your local contact.
Working hours of the lab
On working days (Monday to Friday)
– Working hours vary from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
– Opening hours of the Users office are from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Outside these hours, operators or security guards are present respectively on the site from 7.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m.
Lunch time
CNRS laboratories have access to a canteen “H2” which is located a few steps from the LNCMI-G. When you arrive, you will receive a “canteen card” on which you can put money at the central office in the canteen, in cash or by credit card.
Meals are served in the canteen between 11.15 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on working days. A take away counter offers also a variety of sandwiches, salads, fruits and snacks. Average price of a meal for external users is between 8 and 10 €.
After your last meal, please make sure to return the card at the canteen so the balance can be done and remaining credits given back to you.
IT
During your visit you may wish to connect your laptop to the LNCMI network.
You are allowed to do so, provided that your computer has an up-to-date anti-virus program which has recently scanned your computer and that you have signed the IT charter. If you require any help, please get in touch with our IT service.
Please note that Wi-Fi is also available inside the cafeteria of the lab, the guesthouse and in the meeting rooms. The password is provided upon arrival at the LNCMI-G.
