The Molecular Magnetism team develops a research activity on complex magnetic structures involving metal ions and/or radicals. It is based on two complementary axes:
- Study of the electronic structure of synthetic molecules or biological systems by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) at high field and high frequency (HF-EPR).
- Synthesis and processing of metal complexes with remarkable magnetic properties and multifunctional metal-organic frameworks: this activity relies on both organic and coordination synthesis and goes all the way from synthesis itself to structure determination, magnetometry and dedicated physical measurements.
