The high field HTS insert NOUGAT reached a record field of 32.5 T
The High Temperature Superconductor (HTS) team at LNCMI has set a new world record by producing a magnetic field of 32.5 T for a period of several minutes....
New European record for non-destructive pulsed magnetic fields
On February 10, 2017, the LNCMI team in Toulouse has managed to generate, non-destructively, 98.8 T as shown in Figure 1. To obtain this result it was...
Faraday balance magnetometer at LNCMI-G
A new Faraday-balance magnetometer for low temperatures and high magnetic fields has been developed at LNCMI Grenoble. It has been designed to probe the...
40 T pulsed magnet for neutron diffraction
A 40-T pulsed magnet for single crystal elastic neutron scattering, featuring an unprecedented high duty cycle, now offers new opportunities to investigate...
Broadband spectroscopy at extreme magnetic fields: First results
Magnetic fields exceeding 100 T can be obtained only by semi-destructive methods. In one approach, the magnetic field is generated by a single-turn coil,...
