Caracterization of superconducting materials is a long-standing activity here at the LNCMI. Currently, we are focusing on:
– low critical temperature superconductors in order to design a large bore diameter (800 mm) magnet that would act as the outer coil of the hybrid project.
– high critical temperature superconductors for high magnetic field production.
