{"id":23837,"date":"2025-10-10T10:53:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T08:53:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lncmi.cnrs.fr\/non-classifiee\/cnrs-2025-collective-crystal\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T10:58:33","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T08:58:33","slug":"cnrs-2025-collective-crystal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lncmi.cnrs.fr\/en\/news\/cnrs-2025-collective-crystal\/","title":{"rendered":"CNRS 2025 collective crystal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>UpAlim, electrical power for research<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Le Laboratoire national des champs magn\u00e9tiques intenses (<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lncmi.cnrs.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\n  <strong>LNCMI<\/strong>\n<\/a><strong>CNRS) in Grenoble provides French and European scientists with a range of experimental devices delivering continuous magnetic fields of up to 40 Tesla. These fields are produced by electromagnets that require substantial electrical power.  <\/strong><br\/><strong>In 2015, it was decided to launch the UpAlim project to increase the site&#8217;s electrical power from 24 to 30 MW, concomitant with an ambitious hybrid magnet project. This large-scale project involved the acquisition and installation of a new high-voltage transformer, combined with the deployment of a connection line.   <\/strong><br\/><strong>The team involved in its realization demonstrated its ability to (re)unite and combine skills drawn from a variety of business areas, coordinating teams from LNCMI, the D\u00e9l\u00e9gation R\u00e9gionale Alpes, the Direction de la strat\u00e9gie financi\u00e8re, de l&#8217;immobilier et de la modernisation (DSFIM) and the Direction des affaires juridiques (DAJ).  <\/strong><br\/><strong>Now fully operational, the high-voltage transformer enables LNCMI to generate more intense magnetic fields.
