Calls for projects are issued twice a year. A committee of experts evaluates the projects, prioritizes them and, if necessary, provides guidance to the applicant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Exceptionally, an urgent and convincing scientific or technical request may be submitted to the EMFL User Portal on an ongoing basis, outside the call for projects period. Les champs magn\u00e9tiques sont fournis par un aimant, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par le LNCMI-Toulouse, avec un cryostat sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u par l&#8217;ILL-Grenoble. Cet aimant pr\u00e9sente des ouvertures coniques, offrant un acc\u00e8s angulaire de \u00b115\u00b0 et \u00b130\u00b0 dans le plan horizontal de diffusion. Il produit un champ puls\u00e9 horizontal de longue dur\u00e9e (dur\u00e9e totale de 100 ms, avec un temps de mont\u00e9e de 23 ms) et un <em>duty cycle<\/em> \u00e9lev\u00e9 (les impulsions \u00e0 40 T peuvent \u00eatre r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es toutes les 10 min). La temp\u00e9rature de l&#8217;\u00e9chantillon est r\u00e9gul\u00e9e entre 2 et 300 K ind\u00e9pendamment de la production du champ magn\u00e9tique. L&#8217;\u00e9chantillon, align\u00e9 en tenant compte de la direction du champ et de la zone d&#8217;int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e0 sonder dans l&#8217;espace r\u00e9ciproque, est coll\u00e9 sur un support monocristallin en saphir. Le volume maximal disponible pour l&#8217;\u00e9chantillon est de 7 x 6 x 6 mm\u00b3.      <\/p>\n<p>Pour chaque position de diffusion sond\u00e9e, la d\u00e9pendance en champ de l\u2019intensit\u00e9 diffus\u00e9e par les neutrons est extraite en additionnant les donn\u00e9es accumul\u00e9es sur plusieurs dizaines de tirs de champ puls\u00e9, en choisissant soit des fen\u00eatres d&#8217;int\u00e9gration de temps constant ou de champ constant (la mont\u00e9e et la descente du champ puls\u00e9 sont analys\u00e9es s\u00e9par\u00e9ment).<\/p>\n<p><u>\u00c9valuation des projets<\/u> : Afin d\u2019utiliser l\u2019installation mobile de champ puls\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ILL, les utilisateurs soumettront leur projet au comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection de l\u2019ILL. Lors de la soumission de leur proposition, les utilisateurs choisiront le spectrom\u00e8tre IN22. L\u2019\u00e9quipement ne peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 qu\u2019avec le soutien du LNCMI qui fournit et exploite l\u2019aimant et l\u2019alimentation \u00e9lectrique. La faisabilit\u00e9 d\u2019un projet est d\u00e9termin\u00e9e avant la soumission de la proposition d\u2019exp\u00e9rience par les scientifiques locaux du LULI et un ing\u00e9nieur de recherche du LNCMI. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Lien vers LULI 2000 <\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/luli.ip-paris.fr\/installations\/luli2000\">https:\/\/luli.ip-paris.fr\/installations\/luli2000<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Champs puls\u00e9s et synchrotron : LNCMI ET ESRF<\/h4>\n<h5>XAS et XMCD en champs puls\u00e9s<\/h5>\n<p>La spectroscopie d\u2019absorption x (XAS) et le dichro\u00efsme magn\u00e9tique circulaire des rayons x (XMCD) permettent d\u2019\u00e9tudier la nature microscopique des phases magn\u00e9tiques en sondant s\u00e9lectivement la structure locale, la valence et le magn\u00e9tisme des atomes absorbeurs (moment de spin et moment orbital).<\/p>\n<p>Les mesures XAS et XMCD en champ magn\u00e9tique puls\u00e9 sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es sur la ligne dispersive en \u00e9nergie ID24-ED de spectroscopie d&#8217;absorption de l&#8217;ESRF, Grenoble. Des champs magn\u00e9tiques allant jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 30 T parall\u00e8les au faisceau de rayons X sont produits par un aimant puls\u00e9 \u00e0 <em>duty cycle<\/em> \u00e9lev\u00e9, avec un temps de mont\u00e9e ~10 ms et une dur\u00e9e d&#8217;impulsion de ~23 ms. Les spectres XMCD sont obtenus par diff\u00e9rence des spectres d\u2019absorption mesur\u00e9s en variant soit la polarit\u00e9 du champ (direction oppos\u00e9e +<strong>H<\/strong> et \u2013<strong>H<\/strong>), soit la polarisation du faisceau de rayons X (polarisation circulaire droite ou gauche). La d\u00e9pendance en champ du spectre d&#8217;absorption est enregistr\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9tection multi-images. L&#8217;\u00e9chantillon poli (monocristaux amincis \u00e0 environ 10-15 \u03bcm selon le seuil de l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ment sond\u00e9) est pris en sandwich entre deux fen\u00eatres en diamant et mont\u00e9 dans un cryostat dynamique \u00e0 flux d&#8217;h\u00e9lium dans lequel l&#8217;\u00e9chantillon est refroidi par convection forc\u00e9e.    <\/p>\n<p><u>Evaluation des projets<\/u> : Afin d\u2019utiliser l\u2019installation mobile de champ puls\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019ESRF, les utilisateurs soumettront leur projet au comit\u00e9 de s\u00e9lection de l\u2019ESRF.
