Pulsed magnets in other facilities

The LNCMI designs and operates magnets in other laboratories to combine high pulsed magnetic field with the experimental techniques existing in those facilities.

Magnet with conical access generating a high magnetic field, up to 40 T, during neutrons diffraction experiments at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL, Grenoble-France).

Magnet with conical access generating a high magnetic field, up to 30 T, during X-rays diffraction experiments at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF, Grenoble-France).

Magnet with radial accesses that generates an intense magnetic field, up to 30 T, to perform laboratory astrophysics at the LULI (Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau-France). Similar magnets are used at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL, Livermore, USA).
