The LNCMI belongs to the European Magnetic Field Laboratory (EMFL), which is made of the European high magnetic field laboratories of Nimegen, Dresden, Grenoble and Toulouse.
Its installation and scientific infrastructure are open to the scientific community. You can submit research proposals twice a year, which are evaluated by an international selection committee. The committee meets twice a year, generally in June and December, to evaluate the proposals. The deadlines for submission are in mid-May and mid-November. The experiments can be scheduled up to one year after acceptance of the proposal.
Acceptance requires the nomination of a local contact (from the LNCMI) who will provide assistance fo the experiment. The local contact will be proposed either by the applicant or by the laboratory.
