Semiconductors, Semimetals and Low Dimensional Systems ( 2S&LDS)

Research objectives :
Uncover the electronic and optical properties of emergent solid state systems : layered materials, their monolayers and van der Waals heterostructures, perovskites, topologal insulators, Weyl and Dirac semimetals, and semiconductor nanostructures (quantum dots and wires).

Search for and study the physical effects induced by application of high magnetic fields, driven by Landau quantization of electronic states, by level/excitation crossing, and/or spin ordering.
